What is an IBAN number?

Your IBAN number is essentially a unique identifier for your bank account that shows the bank and country to which your account belongs. It includes your account number and sort code.

How do I find my IBAN number

You can usually find your IBAN number on the top right-hand side of your bank statement.

If you can’t locate your IBAN, you should be able to generate it online via your bank’s internet banking service or by using an IBAN calculator tool.

It may also be possible for you to work out your IBAN yourself, since they all follow the same basic structure. However, it is really important to make sure you have got the correct IBAN number, because if you use the wrong one, your payment could be sent back or even end up in the wrong account.

If you are in any doubt, you should check your IBAN with your bank.

You may also be able to use an online IBAN verification tool to check you have the right details and are using an active IBAN.

Can I update my IBAN later?

Yes. If you don't have a valid IBAN number at the moment you can still continue the onboarding process and submit this later in the Packaly rider app. Once your rider account is activated, you will be able to update your IBAN in the Settings menu while working at Packaly.

Only by having a correct IBAN you can be sure that any money transferred end up safely in your account.
